Why Most Diet Programs Fail

I’ll deliver my confession first. I’ve not lost all the extra fat that I needed to. But I’ve lost 37 pounds in 11 months. I still have a long way to go. Around 12 to 15 pounds more. It didn’t happen with a crush diet or any starvation diet plan where you drop a big amount of your regular food intake and keep starving for the maximum time of the day. It happened with a diet plan which matched my type.

I’m writing this today just to discuss the reasons behind the failure of most diet programs. The failure may be triggered by choosing wrong diet for wrong person, lack of motivation to keep continued and finally we end up getting ourselves to buy larger size clothes.

There are practical question that arise in this situation – why do we really need to diet anyway? Or are we going to change our lives just because of a diet plan? How long will it be possible to continue a diet plan if the mainstream of our regular lifestyle has to change completely?

Let me be straight in this situation. It’s a horrible world of diet. We became like slaves to those so called diet experts or nutritionists who are taking advantages of our being overweight. The food industries and the nutritionists together are deciding what we eat and we don’t eat. Today those so called experts are telling that these foods burn fat. We go and jump on those foods. We end up gaining weight somehow. Then the experts find the remedy and again sell the remedy to us.

Most of the additives are bad for health, but the worst are the sugars, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup and sucrose. All of these make us feel still hungry, while creating only fat. Because the body does not use these sugars for energy.

Funny thing is that these sugars are used in almost everything we eat. Starting from packed fruit juice, soft drinks, healthy cereals, breads, whole breads, grains. That means we end up eating more and more sugar everyday and we are failing to lose weight.

Not only adding pounds to our existing weight but also these foods bring worst category of illness to our health. Such as heart diseases, stress, hypertension, allergies etc. These are all directly or indirectly related to our diet plan.

It’s the food industry that diverts us from the right direction to lose weight. Because as soon as we know the right food to eat for weight loss, they can’t sell their products anymore.

Diet plans stop all type of delicious food instantly. Like cold drinks, fast foods, chocolates all of a sudden. We stop for a few days or weeks. We lose weight. Once we reach our goal, we go back to our original meal habit and gain weight again.

So, how are we supposed to lose weight? The universal truth that every experts in the world believes that the natural way of losing weight is the best one. You should find a diet and exercise plan which can be customized that fit you and your lifestyle. You’ll eat as required. You’ll eat in a way that your food will work as a fat loss potion. Your exercise should be chosen correctly. The ones that fit best for you. Exercise will boost your metabolism. These way, your body will lose extra fat with energy release.
